Kids take turns naming things in a category until someone gets stuck or repeats.
AgesK–2nd, 3rd–5th, PreteenKids3-25Time5-15 minWhereIndoor or outdoorEnergyCalm
Get ready
- Have everyone sit or stand in a circle or line.
How to play
- The leader names a category, like "fruits," "animals," or "things in a kitchen."
- Going around in order, each kid names one thing in that category.
- If a kid repeats an answer or can't think of one in about five seconds, they sit out for the rest of the round.
- Keep going until one player is left, then start a new category.
Tips & variations
- For younger kids, skip the sitting out. Just see how many answers the group can come up with together.
- Older kids can add a letter rule, like "animals that start with B."
📖 Bible connection
Try a category like "things God made" and watch how long the list gets. "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it" (Psalm 24:1).
