Get ready
- Clear an open space with room to move.
- Have your music ready with your finger on pause.
How to play
- Start the music. Everyone dances.
- Pause the music without warning. Everyone freezes right where they are.
- Anyone who is still moving after a couple of seconds sits down and becomes a judge.
- Start the music again and keep going.
- The last dancer standing wins. Then start a new round with everyone back in.
Tips & variations
- For preschoolers, don't put anyone out. Just celebrate the silliest frozen poses.
- Call out a way to dance each round: like a robot, in slow motion, like a bear, on one foot.
- Use the worship songs from your service so kids learn them.
π Bible connection
King David danced before the Lord with all his might (2 Samuel 6:14). Worship can be loud and joyful too.
