Get ready

  1. Have kids sit in a line or a circle.
  2. Think of a short message, like 'Noah's ark had two purple giraffes.'

How to play

  1. Whisper the message into the ear of the first kid. Say it only once.
  2. That kid whispers what they heard to the next kid, also only once.
  3. Keep passing it down the line until it reaches the last kid.
  4. The last kid says the message out loud.
  5. Reveal the starting message and compare. Then let a kid start a new message.

Tips & variations

  • Use a memory verse or a sentence from today's lesson as the message.
  • With a big group, make two lines and see which team keeps the message closer.

πŸ“– Bible connection

James 1:19 says to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Good listening keeps a message true, and the same goes for God's Word.
