Human Knot
Kids grab hands across a circle to make a big tangle, then work together to untie it without letting go.

Get ready
- Split kids into groups of 6 to 10.
- Have each group stand shoulder to shoulder in a tight circle.
How to play
- Everyone puts their right hand into the middle and grabs the hand of someone across the circle.
- Now everyone puts their left hand in and grabs a different person's hand. Don't hold both hands of the same person, or hands with the person right next to you.
- Without letting go, the group steps over, ducks under, and turns around to untangle the knot.
- Keep going until the group is standing in one big circle (sometimes it ends as two circles, and that counts too).
- If the group is truly stuck, let them choose one pair to let go and re-grab.
Tips & variations
- Remind kids to move slowly and to loosen their grip so no one's arm gets twisted.
- For younger kids, use groups of 5 or 6 so it doesn't get too tangled.
- Talk afterward about who helped lead and how the group listened to each other.
π Bible connection
The church is one body with many parts, and every part matters (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). Nobody untied the knot alone; it took the whole group working together.
