Kickball
Baseball with a big rubber ball: kids kick, run the bases, and try to score for their team.

Get ready
- Set up four bases in a diamond, about 30-40 feet apart.
- Split into two teams. One team kicks first, and the other spreads out in the field. One fielder is the pitcher.
How to play
- The pitcher rolls the ball smoothly to the kicker at home plate.
- The kicker kicks it into the field and runs to first base, and as far as they safely can after that.
- A runner is out if a fielder catches the kicked ball in the air, if they're tagged with the ball, or if a fielder holding the ball touches the base before they get there.
- Runners score a run by making it all the way around to home plate.
- After three outs, the teams switch. Play a set number of innings or until time is up.
Tips & variations
- Use 'no throwing at runners' to keep it safe. Fielders tag runners or beat them to the base.
- Give everyone a turn to kick, even if the team already has three outs, so nobody misses out.
- Have a volunteer be the 'all-time pitcher' to keep the game moving.
