Pass the Squeeze

Get ready

1. Have kids sit or stand in a circle holding hands.
2. Choose one kid to stand in the middle as the guesser.

How to play

1. The guesser closes their eyes while you squeeze the hand of the kid next to you to start.
2. When a kid feels a squeeze, they quietly pass it on by squeezing the next person's hand.
3. The guesser opens their eyes and watches for the squeeze moving around the circle.
4. Kids can pass the squeeze either direction, but always try to keep straight faces.
5. When the guesser points and says 'Stop!', check whether that kid was holding the squeeze. If so, they switch places.

Tips & variations

• For a calm-down game, play it with no guesser: just see how fast the squeeze can travel all the way around.
• Remind kids a squeeze is gentle, not a crush.
