Get ready
- Have kids sit on top of tables or stand spread out around the room.
- Go over the rules before you start, because once play begins it's silent.
How to play
- Toss the ball gently to any player.
- The player catches it and tosses it to someone else. No talking, laughing, or noises at all.
- You're out and sit down if you make a sound, drop a good catchable throw, or make a throw that's too hard or out of reach.
- The leader is the referee and silently points to anyone who is out.
- Keep playing until two or three kids are left.
Tips & variations
- Great for calming a loud room before a lesson.
- Kids who are out can help referee by quietly pointing.
- For younger kids, skip putting anyone out and just see how long the room can stay quiet.
📖 Bible connection
Psalm 46:10 says, 'Be still, and know that I am God.' Being quiet on purpose helps us get ready to listen to God.
