Get ready
- Pair up kids of similar height.
- Have each pair stand side by side and loosely tie their inside ankles together.
- Mark a start line and a finish line on a soft surface.
How to play
- Pairs line up at the start line with arms around each other's shoulders or waists.
- Practice a few steps together first: "tied leg, outside leg."
- On "Go," pairs race to the finish line.
- If a pair falls, they get up together and keep going.
- Run it as a relay by having pairs tag the next pair at the finish.
Tips & variations
- Tie ankles loosely so feet can slip out if someone falls.
- Counting out loud together ("1, 2, 1, 2") helps a lot.
- Celebrate the pair that worked together best, not just the fastest.
π Bible connection
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says two are better than one, because if one falls, the other can help them up. That's exactly what this race needs!
