Trash Can Basketball Review

Get ready

1. Set the trash can against a wall.
2. Put down three tape lines at different distances: close (1 point), middle (2 points), and far (3 points).
3. Split the kids into two teams and line them up.

How to play

1. Ask the first player on Team 1 a review question.
2. If they answer correctly, their team earns 1 point and they get to take a shot.
3. The player picks which tape line to shoot from. A basket adds those points.
4. If they miss the question, the first player on the other team can try to answer and shoot.
5. Players go to the back of their line after their turn. Alternate teams each question.
6. The team with the most points at the end wins.

Tips & variations

• Let teammates help with the answer, but only the player in front takes the shot.
• For little ones, make the close line really close so everyone gets a basket.
• Use this game to keep wiggly kids moving while you review.
