What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?
Players sneak up on Mr. Fox step by step until he shouts "Dinnertime!" and chases them home.

Get ready
- Have kids line up along one wall or line (home base).
- Mr. Fox stands at the far end with his back to the group.
How to play
- The group calls out together, "What time is it, Mr. Fox?"
- Mr. Fox answers with a time, like "3 o'clock!" and the group takes that many steps toward him.
- Keep asking and stepping closer.
- When Mr. Fox decides, he yells "Dinnertime!" and turns to chase the group back to home base.
- Anyone tagged before reaching home is the next Mr. Fox (or helps him next round).
Tips & variations
- Let a leader be Mr. Fox first to show how it works.
- Count steps out loud together. It's sneaky number practice for little ones.
- Indoors, make it a walking-only chase.
