Get ready
- Draw a big tic-tac-toe grid where everyone can see it.
- Split the kids into two teams: X and O.
- Have 15-20 review questions ready from today's lesson.
How to play
- Ask Team X a question.
- If they answer correctly, one player comes up and draws an X in any open square.
- If they miss, Team O gets a chance to answer and steal the turn.
- Switch back and forth, asking a new question each turn.
- The first team to get three in a row wins the round.
- Erase the grid and play again until you run out of questions.
Tips & variations
- Let a different player answer each time so the same kids don't do all the talking. Teammates can whisper help.
- For younger kids, use simple either/or questions ("Was it Noah or Moses who built the ark?").
- If the game ends in a tie, the next correct answer wins it.
π Bible connection
Mix in questions that ask "why" as well as "what," like "Why did Jesus tell this story?" When a team gets one right, take a few seconds to talk about what it means for the kids this week.
