Get ready
- Split the area in half with a clear center line.
- Place each team's flag near the back of their side where it can be seen.
- Mark a small jail area on each side near the back.
- Divide kids into two even teams and give them colors if you have them.
How to play
- Each team starts on its own side of the field.
- On "Go," players can cross into the other team's side to try to grab their flag.
- If you get tagged on the other team's side, go to their jail.
- A teammate can free you by reaching the jail and tagging you. You both walk back to your side safely.
- If you grab the flag, run it back across the center line to win.
- Reset and play another round.
Tips & variations
- Use a one-hand tag rule only. No grabbing clothes or tackling.
- Put a leader near each jail to settle arguments quickly.
- If the game stalls, add a second flag on each side to open things up.
π Bible connection
Every player has a job: some guard, some rescue, some go for the flag. In the same way, the church is one body with many parts, and every part matters (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
