Hot and Cold

Get ready

1. Pick a small object everyone can recognize.

How to play

1. Choose one seeker and have them step out of the room or cover their eyes.
2. Another kid hides the object somewhere in the room while everyone watches.
3. Bring the seeker back and let them start looking.
4. As the seeker gets closer, the group says "warmer" or "hot." As they move away, the group says "colder" or "freezing."
5. When the seeker finds it, they pick the next seeker and get to hide the object.

Tips & variations

• To keep it quiet, have the group whisper the clues or use thumbs up and thumbs down instead.
• For little ones, hide the object partly in sight.
