Get ready
- Have kids stand in a circle and hold hands.
- Have two kids let go for a moment, hang a hula hoop on one of their arms, then hold hands again.
How to play
- On 'Go,' kids pass the hoop around the circle by stepping through it and wiggling it over their heads.
- Nobody can let go of hands. Use arms, shoulders, heads, and legs to move the hoop along.
- The hoop keeps traveling until it gets back to where it started.
- Time the group, then try again to beat your time.
Tips & variations
- Add a second hoop going the opposite direction once kids get good at it.
- Kids who use a wheelchair or have trouble stepping can help by lifting the hoop with their arms. The group can work it around them.
๐ Bible connection
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says two are better than one, because they can help each other up. You couldn't move the hoop without the people holding your hands.
