Get ready
- Put a full bucket at the start line for each team.
- Place an empty cup about 20 feet away for each team.
- Split kids into teams and line them up behind their bucket.
How to play
- The first player dunks the sponge in the bucket.
- Run to the cup and squeeze as much water as you can into it.
- Run back and hand the sponge to the next player.
- Keep going until a team fills their cup to the top.
- If time runs out, the team with the most water in their cup wins.
Tips & variations
- Perfect for a hot day. Let parents know kids might get wet.
- For a team-line version, pass the sponge over heads down the line and squeeze at the end.
- Use a clear cup so everyone can see the water level rise.
π Bible connection
A sponge soaks up everything it's dipped in. When we soak in God's Word, it fills us up and spills out to others (Colossians 3:16).
