Get ready
- Mark a clear playing area with cones or tape.
- Pick 1-2 kids to be "It" (about 1 tagger for every 8 kids).
How to play
- On "Go," the taggers chase everyone else inside the boundaries.
- If you get tagged, freeze right where you are with your legs apart.
- A free player can unfreeze you by crawling through your legs (or giving you a high five for younger kids).
- Taggers try to freeze everyone at once.
- After a couple of minutes, or when everyone is frozen, pick new taggers and play again.
Tips & variations
- Remind kids that tags are gentle touches on the back or shoulder, never pushes.
- Use high fives instead of crawling through legs if kids are wearing skirts or if the floor is rough.
- Rotate taggers often so no one gets stuck being It for too long.
π Bible connection
Being frozen is a picture of being stuck in sin, but someone else can set you free. Jesus came to set us free (John 8:36), and we get to help friends find that freedom too.
